Born in Manhattan Beach, California to a family with a passion and penchant for surfing, Mason Silva barged his way through skateboarding with persistence and extra pop. From heavy video parts to netting skateboarding’s most coveted award, Mason’s done it in the Blazer, so for his first SB colorway, the choice was simple. Like anything Mason attacks, it’s all about his personal approach and unique perspective, and the Nike SB Blazer Mid MS QS brings unique details to his favorite shoe with a direct approach and the considered details he wanted to bring to the shoe.
Building off the Blazer’s clean lines and streamlined silhouette, his SB Blazer Mid features a premium blackened blue leather construction and silver Swoosh with a white border, calling back to classic hard court culture. Featuring wolf grey contrast stitching and outsole, Mason switched up the Blazer’s traditional exposed yellow foam to black to keep the colorway consistent. Along with a colorway that reflected his aesthetic and taste, Mason created custom chainlink artwork for the insole and heel tab, along with a hand-drawn self-portrait on the tongue.
