Shoe color: Carpet Yellow

Vans Checkboards Union (VCU)

Vans and Carpet Company have come together once again to introduce the Old Skool 36+. This new style draws design inspiration from the OG Style 36 (the original name of the Old Skool when it was first released in 1977) but throws in updates for the modern era. Featuring single wrap foxing, a padded tongue, metal eyelets, as well as, Popcush, Duracap, and SickStick performance upgrades.

The Carpet Old Skool 36+ is inspired by the original yellow and black launch colorway of the Style 36, updated with premium materials and quilting details that reference luxury vintage car interiors and faux croc skin. The shoe also includes a slew of extra details featuring Arabic test, interchangeable Velcro tongue patches, embroideries and die cut rubber logos on Vans iconic waffle tread.

Carpet Company founded in 2016 is a brotherly effort from Ayman and Osama Abdeldayem out of Baltimore, Maryland. The brand takes inspiration from their love and admiration of skateboarding and where it intersects with streetwear.
